World Records for Parallel-Bar Dips

WORLD RECORD LIST

New record claims for this list are welcome! If possible, please contact us BEFORE your record attempt. Your documentation will be considered for the "Book of Alternative Records" by us.

THE RULES

  1. Each dip has to be performed such that the arms are straight in the "up" position and the upper arms are parallel to the bar in the "down" position. This rule should be followed strictly: Just bending the arms without reaching a positions where the upper arms are parallel to the bar will not count!
  2. No leg support is permitted: Any kicking, jerking or intentional swaying will disqualify that repetition.
  3. A video (side view) showing the complete attempt must be submitted. If you are unsure whether your exercise style meets our rules, you are welcome to upload a video for review before the attempt. We do not want to disappoint you AFTER the attempt.

At present, very few record performances are listed in the record tables. However, records for the parallel-bar dips in 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours (all without additional weight) are generally welcome. The reason why so few record performances are currently listed is that record submissions received in the past frequently failed to meet the strict rules governing the correct form of execution of the exercise.
